  • Noel L. Whitman passed away peacefully in Roseville on July 5th, 2013 after a sudden and brief illness. He was born 3/3/52 in Denver, CO to Noel E. and Norma Slyter Whitman, and raised in Upland, California. Noel joined the United States Army in 1970, and served in Vietnam as combat tracker team leader in the 63rd IPCT 23rd Infantry Division. He was wounded in combat, and was a recipient of many commendations including the Bronze Star. Noel was employed by Blue Shield of California. He is survived by Pamela his wife of 33 years, sons Christopher Whitman (Mindi), Gary Mitchell (Fairlie), daughter Susan (Paul), his parents, brother Clifford, sister Linda Linfor, 5 grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.
